The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group
Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to form the Seekers and Planners parties.
Fans can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
