I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
